Agile Transformation & Implementation
Scaling Agile can be difficult and confusing – unless you have an experienced guide. What we’ve found is that implementing SAFe requires a solution that’s specifically tailored to your company, your goals and your marketplace. We’ll work with you to customize a SAFe implementation that gets real results – and drives real transformation.
Should You Implement SAFe?
Before you get started with SAFe, we must ask one important question: Why do you want to implement it? It’s important to understand if SAFe is actually the right solution for your organization. To help you decide, we’ve outlined the most important criteria:
You Need A Large-Scale Transformation
If you’re currently operating in a difficult, complex and large-scale environment, SAFe is an excellent framework to use. We can guide you this transformation to make you truly agile.
You Need Detailed Guidance
Large scale transformations are rife with uncertainty. In order to navigate this change, you’ll need an experienced guide with high-level training materials and a proven track record of successful implementations.
You’re Up For the Challenge
SAFe is about much more than just assigning some roles and running some practices. Becoming truly agile requires engaged leadership, the courage to challenge your comfort zone and the resolve to push forward and deal with problems.
You Want Real Implementation
We believe in real implementation, not “Agile Theater”. If you’re looking for an easy implementation, simply so you can say you’re SAFe, we’re probably not the right choice for you.
What a SAFe Agile Implementation Can Do For You
If you want to stay ahead of the competition, you have to be fast. By implementing SAFe, you can release more frequently and shorten the cycle time from decision-to-deliver-to-deployment in production.
Today’s environment demands agility. You must be able to balance commitment and predictability with a flexible process that adapts to market needs. We’ll show you how to balance agility with the predictability expected by both your business and your market.
More Effective Team Structures
Effective agility at scale requires teams that are aligned to how work actually flows within your organization. We’ll work with you to create proper feature teams that empower your people and deliver actual value.
Better Flow of Value
When your teams are properly structured, value with flow inside the team, throughout the organization and, most importantly to your marketplace. Products will be delivered on budget, on time and up to par.
A “Humane” Agile Implementation
In order to be effective, Agile must account for the human factor – what makes your people tick. Our style of SAFe implementation delivers improved engagement, less burnout and happier, more productive team members.
A Focus on the Right Outcomes
We focus on delivering the RIGHT things – Effective User Stories, MMFs, MVPs and Lean Startup thinking. Aligning objectives with proper Agile components is what ensures success.
A consistent process is the key to success. We follow a proven blueprint to set goals and plan, implement, scale and improve your Agile deployment. Each SAFe implementation we do is customized to the needs, structure and goals of your organization.
1. Plan & Initiate
We begin with a 2-4 day Leading SAFe Management workshop for your leadership team. During this session, we’ll determine whether we can dive right in or begin with some initial training.
We kickoff with 3-4 days of preparation for QuickStart for the chosen Agile Release Train. Next, we’ll run a 4-day Agile Release Train QuickStart of the first program increment (PI), according to the formal SAFe Training/PI Planning curriculum.
Every two weeks, we’ll visit for two days to coach the Agile Release Train on its journey to stabilize the first SAFe PI. We’ll then facilitate an Agile Release Train Inspect & Adapt Workshop. And we’ll also shadow support as the internal Release Train Engineer runs the second PI training.
Finally, we’ll get back into action mode by running a Boost Workshop. We’ll identify key areas for boosting and improving your process. And we’ll help you draft an improvement plan for taking the next steps.
