Leading the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) 5.0 Workshop – Herndon (DC Area), March 2020

March 30 @ 9:00 am - March 31 @ 5:00 pm

During this two-day course, attendees will gain the knowledge necessary to lead a Lean-Agile enterprise by leveraging the Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe®), and its underlying principles derived from Lean, systems thinking, Agile development, product development flow, and DevOps. They will discuss the five competencies needed to become a Lean Enterprise. They will also learn and practice the skills for supporting and executing PI Planning events, and coordinating multiple Agile Release Trains (ARTs).

Attendees will gain an understanding of the Lean-Agile mindset, why it’s so effective in today’s adapt-or-die marketplace, and what it means to lead a Lean-Agile transformation. They’ll also learn how to build and support Agile teams and programs, empower a Lean Portfolio, build a Continuous Delivery Pipeline and DevOps culture, and coordinate large solutions. They will develop a skillset that’s in demand worldwide—and empower their enterprises to succeed in a disruptive marketplace—when they become a SAFe® 4 Agilist (SA).

Attending the class prepares individuals to take the exam and become a certified SAFe® Agilist (SA)

Given the current outbreak of COVID-19 and the impact the virus is having on our global communities, customers, employees, and families, we would like to take a minute to share our approach for the next couple of weeks.

After having continuous internal discussions about what’s the best way forward we’ve decided that the professional ethical solution is to postpone all our in-person classes and activities planned at least through 04/01.

Private classes (Including Scrum.org and SAI certification classes as well as AgileSparks curriculums) and client workshops/activities will still take place – virtually. While the most efficient and effective method of conveying information is face-to-face conversation, we all need to be pragmatic and creative. In the past, we limited our live virtual training offerings just to organizations that are inherently virtual and distributed themselves. But that has given us some experience we can leverage now.

We will also be running some public Scrum.org classes in a live virtual format. More updates on that later on.

We will be offering all students affected by these changes the choice of either a full refund or a transfer to a class in late spring or beyond.

We are here for any questions about how we’re responding to the COVID19 situation. Ruslan Bershtein our director of BizDev is coordinating the response and is available at ruslan@agilesparks.com or (617)564-0455.
